Here is a short video of the east side (front) of the Stewart Library Building, Corinna, Maine. In the past three years the building has been preserved with significant work on the exterior masonry, especially the clock tower. Renovations include the addition of the atrium at the north entrance (right), an elevator, building-wide sprinkler and fire alarm systems, a new heating system on the first floor, a new HVAC system in the second floor auditorium, and interior storm windows throughout the building.
The building houses the Corinna Town Office, the Stewart Free Public Library, the newly developed Stewart Private Library Museum, and a theater facility and public meeting space in the auditorium on the second floor. The first and second floor facilities are now fully accessible and meet public safety codes.
This drone footage was taken on September 30, 2018. It provides a good view of the setting at the intersection of the Nokomis Road and the St. Albans Road.
What a wonderful overview of the Library Building and its surroundings !! I also loved seeing the house on Pleasant Street (St. Albans Road) where I grew up !! Thanks for your ongoing efforts, Ken and very best wishes to you.
