This is a day that many of us have been waiting for. The scaffolding around the clock tower and the belfry on the Stewart Library Building was put up in February of 2015. You may remember the coldest days of the winter when workers set up this staging with the enclosure so the area could be heated as the repairs to the masonry were done. Now the staging is coming down. Not a good day for pictures but a good day for the look of the building.

The repair and restoration of the clock tower and the belfry are complete.

Workers are there today, taking down the metal staging, piece by piece. The enclosure will come off and we will see the restored tower and clock faces. The clock has been operating for a while now. The man who maintains the clock wanted to make sure it was in working order and looked good when the covering came off.
